Pre-pheromone stuff

Well, it turns out that others pay more attention to me than I've given credit for! Unfortunately, it seems to be more curious glances or watching than actual contact. In the convenience stores, restaurants, the kids schools, and other places where I'm not around people for more than 10 or 15 minutes, I get a lot of looks and returned smiles, but people don't really strike up conversations. Men look interested and reserved, and most women look at me like I'm going to eat their children (defensive, cautious, generally uncomfortable). Now, that's nothing new. I've always had a hard time making female friends, I'm shy and I think I give off a bitch vibe because of it. On the up side, very few people who actually meet me dislike me.

My main testing ground is going to be my kids gymnastics gym. Almost all women -- with the competitive attitude. Women there rarely speak to me, though they occasionally glance at me when I walk in. We are all stuck for an hour in a 15x30 ft. viewing room, so I should be able to get some good feedback on the general effects of the pheromones. So far, the vibe in the room is almost exactly the same every time I'm there....quiet and a little tense.

I also have an upcoming girls only Vegas trip, which I think is going to be a really fun experiment ground.

I just got my order today - here is what I have...all "to go" bottles:

Instant Shine
Instant Honesty
Instant Openness
Instant Sexiness
Instant Female Magic
MX134
Turn Up the Heat

I'm putting on 3 sprays of Shine (wrist, neck, hair) and am off to do mommy things. I'll update soon.

Introduction (The WTF blog)

Okay....where to start??

Boring stuff first:  I am a married, stay-home, mother of three young children, ages 3, 5, and 9 (boring for you....definitely not me!)  I take my kids to school, go to the gym, go shopping, clean, do laundry, pick up the kids from school, help with homework, feed everybody, put kids to bed, and crash.  That is my typical day, as it stands now.

Of course, what I recently realized, is that I have been missing out on what makes life fun!  I'm not talking about partying or flirting, I'm perfectly happy with my primary role as a mom right now, I'm talking about general human interaction.  I have gotten into the habit of not paying attention to how people react to me, which leads to me not reacting to anyone!

So, it's been established that I've been a little (okay, a lot!) self and kid- absorbed; now...what to do about it?

This line of thinking emerged as I was exploring pheromones.  I don't even remember now what made me Google it, but it is definitely very interesting.  I found a great forum called PheroTalk (go ahead...check it out.  You know your curious!), and I have decided that trying out pheromones for a number of different situations and reasons is my new project.  There are two main reasons for this:

1)  I need the little push of turning my life into an experiment to open my eyes and start paying attention to the people around me - in the grocery store, the gym, the kids schools.

2) I am honestly very curious to see if these things work!  I think it will be an interesting project to see the before/after results.

Next question....why blog it??  Well...if I don't keep it public, I won't do it!  Weird, I know, but I have to know (or at least imagine), that I have a few loyal viewers who actually care.  It gives me the momentum I need to get off my butt and do it.

So - there are two phases to this project:  The Before, and The After.  I plan on logging my daily activities (boring!), and more importantly, how people react to me.  The proximity of people in public, how many times someone talks to me, flirtations, looks, staring.  It may not sound too intriguing right now, but stick with me for a couple of days...I promise to make it entertaining - or at least not painfully boring!

If you would like an example of my blogging abilities to see if you want to even check back here, you can see my "Year in Amsterdam" blog, it's a personal blog I set up for family and friends while my family and I were oversees.

That's it for now.  The project is on!  I hope you will check back in occasionally and share with me any thoughts, comments, insults, or ideas you may have.  Go ahead...I can handle it :-)
